NMN / NPN Flexible Laminate Insulation Nomex / Mylar / Nomex – Class H (180°C) Electrical Insulation
NMN (also referred to as NPN) is a premium triple-layer flexible insulation composed of two outer layers of Nomex® aramid paper bonded to an inner layer of Mylar® polyester film. Rated for Class H electrical systems, it provides outstanding thermal endurance, dielectric strength, and mechanical stability. Commonly used in high-temperature motors, generators, and transformers.
Key Features:
Triple-layer laminate: Nomex / Mylar / Nomex construction offers superior insulation, tear resistance, and thermal endurance
Class H thermal rating: Withstands continuous operating temperatures up to 180 °C
High dielectric performance: Reliable insulation for demanding electrical applications
Flexible and process-friendly: Easy to cut, wrap, and form during installation
Typical Applications:
Slot, phase, and interlayer insulation in motor rewinding and transformer manufacturing
Used in dry-type transformers, generators, and Class H rated electrical assemblies
